Vegan since 2005, Beth is a photographer, graphic artist, writer, and animal rights artivist living in Portland, Oregon, USA. Beth’s animal rights focus is on the survivors who live in sanctuaries and serve as ambassadors for their species, having been saved from the horrific fate of countless other animals just like them. By showing the sacred soul, sentience, beauty, intelligence and individuality of animals, Beth hopes to awaken compassionate vegan consciousness in the viewer.
Beth was on staff as a graphic designer for Melanie Joy’s Beyond Carnism organization and helped design Melanie’s TEDx Talk plus memes, print materials, presentations, and graphics for her “Beyond Beliefs” book. In addition to The Art of Compassion Project’s exhibitions, Beth’s artwork has been featured in the Animal Museum, Anderson Chase Gallery, Artists’ Gallery, Percolator Artspace, The Dodo, “Raise Vegan” magazine, “Le Parisien” magazine, “Poultry Press” magazine, Our Hen House, Interfaith Vegan Coalition, Compassionate Living Circles, Vegstock, Go Vegan Ireland, The Vegan Art Gallery, and shared by Veganuary, Live Kindly Co, Vegan Outreach, Humane League UK, and many others.
