P31: Kent Vegan Festival (UK) 4th May 2019

Helen Barker reports, “Another lovely event for us yesterday in the UK, at the brilliant Kent Vegan Festival 2019. Just two of us there for the day, we somehow managed to turn a cavernous hallway at Canterbury College into a cosy exhibition space, and we were packed out almost all day. We had some wonderful conversations, and with around half of the attendees stating they were not vegan, we are sure that the art was speaking to people and helping them to change their hearts about other animals. We sold posters in aid of two charities, New Hope Animal Rescue and Vegan Organic Network, raising £140 to split equally between the two. Thank you so much to Kent Vegan Events for hosting us so well. It was a real pleasure to be there for the day and we hope to return.” Volunteers: Helen Barker and Jayne Yilmaz
