Amy Guidry’s ‘Crutch’, is one of her most popular pieces which directly deals with climate change. The houses in ‘Crutch’ represent our civilization built upon the exploitation of these animals for our own gain. The ocean rises, no other land is in sight, while the cow is used as an island. The stilts represent the instability and inevitable downfall that result from makeshift solutions, rather than from real change.

Cindy Jane began ‘Satya aur Ahimsa’ (Truth and Non-violence) during a time when she was struggling to make sense of all the wars taking place. At the heart of this painting is the expression that all violence is connected and that truth can only be found in the dismantling of inherited ideas. It expresses her belief that veganism is fundamental to creating a world of universal peace without the greed, fear, and denial that is at the foundation of most all oppressive systems and violent behaviours.

Marina Taliera’s ‘Untag’ portrays how a ‘veal’ calf is another ‘martyr’ in the dairy industry.

Marina explains, "I was kicked out of the school ‘s cafeteria as a kid in France for refusing to eat veal. Maybe it was not a coincidence after all. There’s a list of ‘ingredient’ in the upper left-hand side of the painting reminiscent of people mechanically buying without wondering where or what it comes from. The ‘veal’ calf here is the victim, immobile and surrounded by numbers. The numbers can represent ‘money’ as well as the numbers on his ‘Tag’ symbol of an inevitable death and a ‘life’ of horror. It says ‘No olvides’ which means – ‘Don’t forget’ in Spanish, your convictions."

“Stairway to Dissonance” is a critique of Temple Grandin’s participation in the animal exploitation industry as well as an analysis of the relationships between ableism and specieism. It is especially meaningful to Chelsea because of its personal significance to her. As an autistic person, Chelsea cannot help but notice similarities between the oppressive mindsets that harm autistic people and the oppressive mindsets that harm other animals.

Raj became vegan after he finished ‘End of the road’, as this was the drawing that finally made him realize the horrors of dairy farming. Prior to that he had been a vegetarian, consuming dairy products like milk and cheese. He says he’d convinced himself that it was a victimless food source, but after doing his research for the piece finally realized that the meat industry and dairy industry are one and the same and as evil and cruel as each other.
