Lisette Rotman has a BFA in Illustration from FIT’s School of Art and Design in NYC. She thrives with creative expression in art and music, as it enables her to convey thoughts and emotions that she cannot express with words. She enjoys mixing textures and styles in her artwork, often incorporating photographs and scans of textures into her digital art. She adores color and is fascinated by its infinite shades. She has a passion for creating fun, whimsical pieces of people and animals – sometimes mysterious, sometimes joyful. She usually creates her signature eyes first to form a connection with the character.
Lisette is dedicated to animal rights and has begun using her work to help raise awareness and funds for animal organizations. She illustrated a children’s book promoting dog adoption in 2014 and is proud to be part of The Art of Compassion Project which donates proceeds to various non-profit organizations. She recently opened an online shop of her arts & goods, where a portion of profits goes to help animals. Lisette has been working as an illustrator and graphic & web designer for over 15 years in the NJ/NY area. She loves watching movies, going to concerts and finding delicious vegan food.
