The prevailing theme in the work of CIT Crawford College of Art and Design recent Fine Art graduate, Katrīna Tračuma is humankind’s estrangement from nature, as viewed through the lens of our relationships with other species. Explored primarily through the medium of painting, while utilizing bright pigments and striking colour combinations. Bold brushstrokes are balanced with intricate details in a language of symbolic imagery and metaphors, drawing attention to matters of our environment in an engaging way.
