Samantha Lee is a watercolour artist, teacher and a community art therapist who draws inspiration from her profound love and respect for the natural world. Samantha’s fascination with lagomorphs – a group of mammals that includes rabbits, hares, and pikas –of which she shares her home with many, serves as a recurring motif in her work.

Through her limited palette, she manages to capture the essence and unique characteristics of these creatures, often highlighting those that are on the brink of extinction. By focusing on these lesser-known, strange, and unusual animals, Samantha invites her audience to consider the importance of preserving the planet’s biodiversity and to reflect on the interconnectedness of all living beings.

A devoted vegan and advocate for slow living, Samantha lifestyle is a testament to her commitment to preserving the environment and promoting a harmonious relationship between humans and animals. Her work is imbued with a sense of serenity and mindfulness, encouraging viewers to take a step back from the chaos of modern life, take a deep breath and reconnect with the nature.
